Jonathan Alegeh

Jonathan Alegeh is a project manager with 10+ years of experience in the energy sector. He worked with the Heinrich Boll Foundation, where he was the Project Manager for Sustainable Nigeria. During his time there he shaped the foundation’s projects on ecology, clean energy, sustainability and energy efficiency. As well as organising several town hall meetings, hosting a talk show on the Power Sector and developing a movie and 6 songs about solar energy and its usefulness to Nigeria. He also worked as the New Business Manager for Teno Energy Resources.

Jonathan has done several renewable energy capacity building projects, with the most recent one for Bas Consulting, on Mini Grid Development. He also worked on a market survey for captive power in Nigeria, focusing on cassava, rice, oil palm value chain and the possibility of powering agro-processing plants on renewable energy.  He holds a degree in International Relations and a Masters in Energy Economics.  He is a member of the Nigerian Association of Energy Economist and the International Association of Energy Economist.

Jonathan Alegeh is very passionate about developing a proper energy policy for Nigeria.
